What are Moles and Skin Tags?

Moles are dark brown or black skin growths caused by clusters of pigmented cells. Most are harmless, but some may require medical attention.
Skin Tags are small, soft, benign growths that usually appear in areas where the skin folds, such as the neck, armpits, and eyelids.

Causes of Moles and Skin Tags

Moles:
- Genetics and hereditary factors
- Sun exposure
- Hormonal changes (puberty, pregnancy)
Skin Tags:
- Friction from skin rubbing against skin
- Obesity and insulin resistance
- Aging (more common in middle-aged and older adults)
